Shule Bora: Quality and inclusive education in Tanzania

Impel is one of the partners working with Mott MacDonald to implement the UK FCDO’s Shule Bora programme in Tanzania, a national programme designed to improve the quality of pre-primary and primary schools in Tanzania. The programme will improve learning outcomes for all children, improve transition rates to secondary school for girls, prevent physical and sexual violence in and around schools, and help children with disabilities access quality education. The programme will also provide technical assistance to support the government to achieve these results, as well as to test innovative approaches to deliver programme outcomes. The aim is that the Shule Bora programme will improve the quality and access to education for over four million children in Tanzania, especially girls, children living with disabilities, and those living in deprived areas.
