Rights-based

We are committed to the empowerment of people who have had their rights denied. We are also committed to increasing the ability and accountability of individuals and institutions expected to respect and protect rights. We are committed to providing greater opportunities for people to shape and inform decisions that impact their rights; this involves increasing the ability of those with responsibility for fulfilling rights to adopt an inclusive approach that routinely integrates rights into policymaking, decision making and day to day operations. 

Integrity

We are proud of our work and contributions to social justice. Integrity, transparency and trust lay at the heart of our work. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethical conduct. We promote and pursue open dialogue in all of our partnerships, contract management and organisational practices. We place considerable importance on our duty of care towards all partners and participants; we are committed to working collaboratively with all clients and partners including by ensuring mutual accountability. 

Self-representation

We are committed to self-representation. Persons who have been marginalised and excluded (due to gender, race, disability or other factors) have the most knowledge about their experiences and are most informed about how to fulfil their aspirations and provide for themselves and their families. Our diverse team and broader network embody this principle of self-representation and signals our commitment to addressing the existential crises of our times.

Participatory

Underpinning our work is a commitment to working collaboratively through relationships based on mutual respect. We strive to build equitable partnerships that reflect the diverse voices and contributions of all stakeholders, especially people who have been marginalised and excluded (due to gender, race, disability or other factors).

Practical 

We are passionate about delivering final products tailored to the needs and capacity of the target audience. We want to provide work that is understandable and useful to clients and the broader sector. We are committed to innovation, to expanding the evidence-base and most importantly to expanding and strengthening social justice and inclusion.

Ethical

We are committed to upholding established ethical standards. Our high standards apply to all team members. We are acutely aware of the need to consider carefully and safeguard potentially vulnerable stakeholders, including to secure trust in any project and to ensure the continued co-operation of all stakeholders. Our focus on and experience of these issues means we can be confident in the reliability, management and quality of project outcomes.
