Sarah Palmer

Sarah Palmer is a social inclusion specialist with a master’s degree in Gender Analysis in International Development. She has 16 years’ experience in programme management and technical assistance and has specialised in disability inclusive practices in education and health in both development and humanitarian sectors over the past eight years.  Sarah has worked for leading organisations in the sector, including Elrha, Leonard Cheshire and ActionAid.

Sarah specialises in participatory and inclusive methodologies to ensure that communities affected by interventions have a voice in their design, delivery, and evaluation.  Sarah uses her technical expertise to build capacity and crucially commitment for inclusive practice. She has developed practical guidance and tools, inclusive training packages for both face-to-face and e-learning, theories of change and inclusive monitoring tools, learning papers and synthesis reports.  She works with organisations to explore inclusion within their wider strategies, systems, and processes to create inclusive ways of working which can be sustained.
