Strengthening organisational capacity around inclusion

Plan International is committed to tackling the root causes and consequences of exclusion and gender inequality. Impel recently supported Plan International in operationalising its position and commitment to inclusion, focusing especially on disability inclusion and its intersection with gender. We updated key resources relevant to Plan International’s Gender Equality and Inclusion work, to help Plan International staff to consistently embed inclusion and apply an intersectionality lens to programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation across the humanitarian, development, and peace nexus.

As part of this work, Impel updated  Plan International’s Tackling Exclusion Framework, which sets out Plan International’s commitments and approach for tackling gender inequality and exclusion under one aligned effort, linking it to Plan International’s refreshed Global Strategy. We also updated Plan International’s Disability Inclusion global programme document to help ensure the integration of high standards for disability inclusion, as well as Plan International’s training offer for staff regarding disability inclusion.
